AMAZON PLANET LODGE for Tourism and Conservation was created by a group of friends in 2010 with the mission to preserve the biodiversity of the Amazon Rainforest in Madre de Dios, Peru, and help to the sustainability of its ecosystem.
Through responsible tourism, conservation and sustainability projects we offer a unique opportunity to enjoy the adventure of the rainforest, learn about its wildlife and culture whilst contributing to protect this important ecosystem for mankind.
We are located in the Tambopata province, region of Madre de Dios at one hour and a half down by the Madre de Dios River in outboard motor canoe from Puerto Maldonado city. We are next to TARICAYA ECOLOGICAL RESERVE, inside the buffer zone of the Tambopata National Reserve, one of the most biodiverse areas in the world.
Between our land and Taricaya Reserve we have 550 ha of preserved rainforest excellent to explore and look for the amazing fauna and flora typical of the region.
Amazon Planet Lodge is in charge of developing the responsible tourism within Taricaya Reserve and surrounded areas and we contribute to their work.
Part of our income goes to support the projects and our guests have the opportunity to visit and learn about them and contribute to rainforest conservation in Madre de Dios.
